Data Policy

Last updated June 20, 2026.

Fresh Slate LA treats community data as operational trust. Program, volunteer, donor, newsletter, and grant records are used for service delivery, reporting, compliance, outreach, and organizational planning. Sensitive information should be collected only when necessary and should be stored in access-controlled systems. Staff should avoid placing confidential client or participant data in public notes, spreadsheets, or unsecured email threads. Records should be reviewed periodically and retained only as long as they support legal, operational, or funder requirements. Aggregate data may be used for impact reporting, but public reports should not identify individuals without clear permission.
